Hello people of the fictional realm! Today we’re talking about . . . the holidays? Right? Would that be capitalized? I’m really not sure! But anyway, I’m Marie. The pink one.
The pink one! And I’m this weird hybrid of . . . green yellow . . . stuff . . . Yeah! So my name must be Jo if Marie is already taken. So, holidays! You’re going to start while I write down stuff!
Uh oh, Copernicus has been released. What are you writing down? Why are you writing stuff down? Why can’t you write stuff down and type things? And who was the idiot who said, “Let’s put a ton of really important holidays all together!” because I really want to know. I mean. In my brain, the holidays start with Halloween because Halloween = candy. And so they start in October and don’t end until January with Three Kings Day/the 12th Day of Christmas!
What do you think I’m writing down? *Cough cough* comments *cough cough*. ANYWAY. Speaking of the twelve days of Christmas, we’ve been doing that! Yay!
Oh the comments! Aren’t I a genius?! ANYWAY! We’re using Christmas colors, essentially. I just thought I’d point that out. And we didn’t even plan that. I felt like being pink. And I guess Jo wanted to be green. So anyway. The 12 Days of Christmas! Are the twelve days in between--no. They’re just the days from Christmas Day to Three Kings Day. And there’s 12 of them. So 12 Days of Christmas.
I ran out of colors to be . . . anywho. So today is the last--nope. Tomorrow, is the last day. One. More. Gift. In. My. Drawer. And I’ll take a leap of faith and guess that the last thing in my drawer, is a sketch book which would be helpful. But if it were something else, well then that’s awesome too!
I’m not even going to guess because . . . *gestures to rover* Copernicus is hard to please. Anyway. So . . . it’s been fun. These last 12 days of my life so far. Wow. That sounded weird . . . but they really have! I have gotten a lot of awesome things. And I’m excited to use all of them. But for now they must be patient because school is starting again and that means hardly any free time.
Yes, I agree. Loads of awesome stuff and a lot of candy! GUMMY BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway. Yes. Sadly, school is coming back up (ha, like barf) and that either means A.) no time at all or B.) all the time in the world (ha, like our--yeah!). So that’s . . . great. And that also means I might fail Language Arts and then we get to start Drawing class and gym as well. Gym. Hm. I like gym because you get to do stuff. But, eighth grade gym is mostly running so that’s not as fun.
I hate gym. I hate running long distances, I hate doing strength building things in the torture chamber of doom, I hate having to get dressed in a room with other girls older and younger than me, I just hate it. I don’t get why I have to do it. It’s not like I’m like . . . overweight or something. Why can’t I just do ballet and be all good? Ballet is so much more fun! I mean, I get to do complicated things and make it look easy and pretty, I get to dance around on my toes, I get to pretend to be a fairy for our upcoming performance, it’s fun! And then there’s gym. And it’s just like, “You’re a ballerina? Pffffft. Go run a bajillion laps and slowly die in that scary room over there.” And what I hate most is the fact that running and all that gives you like . . . “obvious muscle” if you do it long enough. And ballerinas . . . well . . . first off, now I’m just ranting, and second off, I’m going to shut up now.
Ah, too bad I have nothing going for me to have something against gym. Gym is pretty much all I have. I used to dance, but when I took dance we still had to run laps and warm up and work on a few machines sometimes to help build muscle so we could actually do headstands, handstands, stalls, turtles, etc. But I agree about the torture chamber of doom. I do not like the fitness room. People always mess up the order and are annoying and the machines are always . . . weird. I don’t know. Anyway. We’re getting off topic. Holidays. Let’s say that for Christmas, I got a guitar. Because I did!
Getting off topic is definitely one of our many special skills. Anyway. Christmas. I got a lot of things. Because I’m kinda spoiled when it comes to Christmas, but I will admit, I was most spoiled this year. Anyway. Jo got a guitar named Harmony! Yay! And I got a telescope, which I’ve been wanting for years. So I’m happy. But I haven’t used it yet because it’s freaking cold outside. Just saying.
It really is. Christmas is a really spoiled time. Of year. Ah, my screen is being dirty. ANYWAY. Oh! And the day before Christmas was Day of Surprises and so my family went to a bunch of places that my bro and I didn’t know about and so that was great. Like the aquarium. And after Christmas . . . hm. After Christmas it can’t possibly be the new year, can it?
The new year always throws me off. Every single year. But anyway. New Year’s Eve. It was okay I guess . . . I was sick. I still am sick actually. So I didn’t do anything.
Because that’s the way to start off a new year! Sick! I was not sick. I was okay. But I was very bored. And . . . then I went to sleep and she, up there, went to sleep. And then I woke up. And then I was bored. And then I realized that this year is 2015 and that we’d be 14 and it’s weird to think that next year, I’ll have the same thought except I’ll be thinking, “Whoa, 2016, I’ll be 15! In Idaho, I could be learning to drive!” Because that’s what I think about.
And then there’s me who was thinking about how we’re finally going to start practicing for Sleeping Beauty in ballet. Why? Because if ballet is the sun, then I’m Earth. No . . . how about . . . Venus. Because Earth is perfect for human life. And I am in no way a perfect ballerina. And Venus is a train wreck of a planet. That’s me. But anyway. Sleeping Beauty. I’m excited. I’ve been thinking about my part a lot for some reason.
And a new year, means new resolutions. Oh what fun.
I always forget to make resolutions because I have better things to do. But this year I made some. Just for you fictional people. No. Really it was just so that I would have something to post about on Friday.
I always have them. But I never, you know, actually fulfill them because I forget or it doesn’t seem realistic. So I get rid of them. So that’s fun.
Exactly why I don’t make them. So then--oh actually, I believe Theodora’s birthday is sometime in January. Not sure what day. But anyway. On January 5 comes the very best holiday in my opinion. And that holiday is Three Kings Day.
Well I don’t know what else to say. So. You can go ahead and just, take the lead on this one.
Well okay then. Three Kings Day is the day when the Wise Men came to visit Jesus after he was born. *shrugs* It’s really that simple. And you get three presents for obvious reasons. So yeah . . .
That’s always fun. More presents after Christmas! And more holiday after new year! So that’s all I got.
Yeah, me too. So . . . bye?
Bye!
~Jo and Marie
