Books, Science, and Art

Look at me! I'm purple! Haha, so silly. So, hello peoples. We added two of you today. Kind of. They don't exactly have names. And the only thing we knew about them is their hair color . . . the starter of charries. Cool. ANYWAY! Today we'll be talking about books, science, and art! YAY!

Yup! Books, science, and art! Oh, and I, Marie, am green. Jo is purple.

YERP! So. Most of you probably saw that I just finished a book. The Selection. In two days! I'm so proud! I'm a very slow reader, so that's amazing. I really liked it.

Yes. It is quite amazing. I, on the other hand, am a pretty fast reader when I feel like it. I read City of Bones in 12 hours because it was so good. City of Bones, by the way, is around 500 pages.

Wow, that is amazing. I am getting very distracted. ANYWAY! Let's talk about science!

Okay, science. Uhmm. Anything you want to know about science?

Ummm! When did you really get interested in science? That's what I want to know.

Now that, is a very hard question. Let's think . . . I have no idea. But the summer before sixth grade I got really into science. I watched science videos all summer. And then I loved when we learned about astronomy in class that year. But I'm 100% sure it started before that, I just can't remember when.

Smiley face! That's cool! I remember I got into writing and reading because of you! It's all your fault! In a good way! Anyway, I've never really been interested in science. It was something that didn't intrigue me as much. But because of Marie, I like it a whole lot better now. Like reading. And I prefer astronomy and biology to anything else. I think. Yeah!

Yup, that would be my fault(: And science has always been a part of my life. My parents are both scientists, and I've always been curious. I love figuring out how things work.

You see how smart my best friend is? I bet she's smarter than your best friend! Just kidding, your best friend is probably very smart too. (But mine's smarter!) But sometimes she's stupid. But that's okay because sometimes I'm stupid. I still love her all the same! Anyway, art! I never really paid attention to art. Like, I never did any. Not until I met Marie. So my interest in art is all her fault too! She's the one who got me started.(:

Aw, thanks Jo:) And yes. I did get you started on art. I've always loved drawing, but until fifth grade I wasn't very good at it. A girl in my class taught me how to draw Manga, and that's the style I draw in now. I must admit, I'm still not very good.

I know. Me too. I'm not that good. Three years! But still! After she was taught, she kind of taught me and then there we were. Drawing manga. But in school, in art class I think we're great! We're pretty good at all the assignments. I was hoping it would help me improve, but it got me ingested in all art too. So . . . yeah!

Yeah. Now I can't draw something small anymore, it takes a lot of work to get the feet of a drawing in the frame. All because my art teacher was always like, "FILL THE SPACE!!!!" and now that's ingrained in my head. It's not a bad thing, I guess. Just a bit annoying.

YES. ME. TOO. I really don't like it. But it's not really a bad thing. And we have learned a lot of things in art. Like how to observe. I like observing. It's a good skill to have, especially in art when we had to draw what was in front of us. Which we have to do this year too I just remembered.

Observing is fun. I observe people. Not in a creepy stalker way, I just want to figure out how they work. I haven't figure it out yet. And this is totally off topic, but you should go listen to "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse.

Yeah, me too. But I observe them to figure out how to make my writing more realistic. And how to draw them too. Is it a good song?

Yeah, I don't even bother to make my drawings kind of realistic, they always turn out terrible when I try. AND YES!!! It's a good song, or at least I think so. Her voice kind of reminds me of Adele. And it's more of a sad song with a lot of soul in it. It's really good is what I'm trying to say.

Well I will be sure to look it up! So . . . I'm guessing that's all we have for you today . . . ?

I believe so . . .

Well, then I guess, I will talk to you Tuesday and Marie will tomorrow! Love you all! In a non creepy way! So, bye for now!

Pozegnanie fictional people!
