Jo and I talk . . . And Get Off Topic . . .

Hello imaginary people. How are you doing today? Good? Good. It's our first Sunday writing together, so, YAY! Today, we shall be discussing our writing pieces and how we write together and help each other and all that fun stuff.

Yup! Jo pretty much summed it up! Oh, and I, Marie, will be pink. Jo is blue.

YES. Hello. ANYWAY, warning, we'll probably stray from the topic because we are so very good at that. Because we're awesome.

We really are. Straying from the topic is one of our specialties. So, anyway. How we write together. Well . . . we always start with an idea. Obviously. And we use Google Docs.

Yep, always our trusty Google Docs. Then we'll usually create a doc where we will develop our characters. Oh, and we usually write fiction. Isn't it usually fantasy Marie?

Yup! Fiction! Mostly fantasy, but Y.S. Ping is science fiction . . . isn't it? I think so. But always fiction. Fiction is amazing. Oh! And we always text! We text each other ideas mostly. Mainly to see what the other person thinks.

And our ideas usually start when we lay in bed at night . . . we make up scenarios to help us fall asleep, and that's when we get our best ideas.

Exactly. That's actually how I came up with my book that's almost published. Scenarios for years and years. And then I finally wrote it down. You have no idea how many drafts it took to get something decent. But anyway. We get ideas, tell each other, and then write them down somewhere. Either in another doc or in the current doc.

Yep! Then it depends if we want to write it together, or one person writes while the other looks it over and edits and helps with more ideas, like my short story about a Robin Hood thingie. And if we want it to be a book idea or a short story, we de decide that too. Usually when we write together, it's books. And then, that brings me to mention that we also have a lot of stories based off of dreams we have and stuff.

I'm usually the editor, even if we're writing together. I usually go back over it and edit things. I find editing fun. I'm usually the spelling and grammar editor person, and Jo usually edits for plot holes and things like that. Which brings me to say that Microsoft Word is so amazing. I'm not really the best editor in the world so I'll usually copy and paste it to a Microsoft Word document and let Word do the editing.

Yes, that's true. She's going to be my editor now. When I become a writer, and she's at NASA, on lunch breaks she'll be editing my books. And also , if one of us has writer's block, we'll call on the other for help and we work things out. Hmm. Then after that we pretty much write the story, and we haven't ended one yet. Marie, would you like to explain how we type together?

Editing books on lunch breaks at NASA . . . hmmmm, sounds fun(: And yes, I'll explain that. So how we write is basically like how you write in a RP. If you know what a RP is, if you don't I'm not gonna take the time to explain. So. Anyway. When we write we take turns, and our turn ends when either A.) we run out of ideas or B.) we've written a lot and decide to give the other person a turn. So it's not really like a RP at all . . .

Close enough right? Yes! Should I explain some of our charrie stuff??

Well, I guess if you think about it . . . And yes, explain our charrie stuff!

So, let me think . . . hmm. Oh yes. For me, I mainly make my characters based off me, except, a better version of me that is cooler. And we speak to our charrs a lot. But, we've never killed any in our stories, it's just, sad! So, we usually don't. And a lot of the stories we write are in many of the charrs POV, not just one. Anything to add Marie? I don't really know anything else to write about it . . .

Uhmm, just that charries = characters. And that I have killed one character. It was sad. But it wasn't in one of our stories, it was in a RP.

Oh yeah, that was dad. I've never killed any. Well, any that are introduced in the story. Alive. And our writing takes a lot of time and thinking and it's very collaborative. And when we work together, it just turns out so perfect. Like, we work together so perfectly. Metaphorically, because, nothing is actually perfect. But, it just fits together so freaking well. Like we're one writer. THE ULTIMATE WRITER! Hey, do you think if one of us is more idea based and the other filters the ideas?

Yeah, it really is like the ultimate writer. You seriously cannot tell who wrote what, unless we specifically remember writing a scene. And IDK. I feel like we do both equally.

Yeah, that's very true. And I suck at remembering things, so yeah. Ha, but when we draw a person together, that's a whole other story! It just looks messed up and disproportional! Remember when we drew Theodora? Oh gosh, that was terrible!

Oh yes! That was so insanely terrible! That was . . . definitely not our best. But hey, at least we tried, right?

That is so very true. We did try. Oh! But when we make collages together, those are fantastic! I really liked that one we made for that contest. THAT WE WON! That was awesome.

Now I feel stupid. We won a contest? Making a collage?

Yeah! Remember last year? The diversity poster contest at school? And it won and got in the display case?

OH!!! I remember now! But did it really win? IDK. OH! And we still have to make that logo thing for NJHS!!

Oh! Yeah we do! And it did win, it got in the display case remember?

Oh, right. I just assumed that every poster got in the display case . . . But anyway. We have till . . . Tuesday to turn in that logo thingy, right?

No we  have the whole school week to finish it.

Oh yeah, huh! So, we'll work on it during lunch . . . and if we have any extra time I guess.

Yes, okay. That sounds like a plan. So, I'm guessing that's all we have for you today imaginary peoples. Unless Marie has anything else to say . . . ?

Nope, I think that's it. So . . . until tomorrow for me and Tuesday for Jo! Pozegnanie!

Jo and Marie are out! PEACE!

*rolls eyes* Oh Jo.
