Marie's Birthday and Some of Our Drawings

It’s Sunday! And Sunday means . . . . THAT PERSON’S BIRTHDAY! *Laughs* You thought I was going to say Sunday post, weren’t you?! YEAH! Well it also means that today is Marie’s Birthday. First Birthday Celebration of one of us on this blog! Yay! Anyway. WE GONNA TALK ‘BOUT DRAWLINGS.

Yes. Drawings. Or drawlings as Jo insists on calling them. But . . . are we just going to post pictures of our drawings here and then be like, “This is my drawing. I like it. Your turn.” Or are we going to talk about drawing in general?

I was thinking we would do the first thing you offered which would be “This is my drawing. I like it. Your turn.” Except maybe not quite as vague. List one thing you like and one thing you dislike and then move on. Agreed?

Agreed! Do you want to go first? I vote that you go first.

Who else votes I go--*everyone raises hand* Well okay then. I’ll take a picture of the one I did today that I just showed Mawie just like a few minutes ago!
Happy Charrie drawlings! And half my creepy little face! But ignore that. Do I have to write speech bubble stuff? *People nod* oooookay fine.
“You did a really good job. It looks just like her. Soon, more than just the school’s museum will be displaying your art.”
“It’s not that great, Nikola.”
“I think it looks absolutely fantastic.”
I like their bodies because they’re actually kind of proportionate! And I don’t like his face because of HIS STUPID NOSE SHAPE. Okay now it’s your turn! By the way I used a reference for this one, so it’s not my original idea and stuff . . .

Your face is creepy now? How did that happen? I like that drawing though. And I probably never would’ve noticed the nose thing if you hadn’t told me . . . But anyway. It is now my turn!

So there’s mine. Let’s see . . . what do I like about it? I like how the colours work well together. They’re not like . . . you know what I mean? It doesn’t look weird. But I don’t like that there isn’t a background. Because . . . they’re like floating in space.

I really like that one. I think my favorite part is just . . . *gestures to Nikola* yeah him. I like her too but I like him better because there’s a lot of detail and his hair looks amazing. Anyway. Now to my next one. None of mine are coloured really . . . so just a warning.
And there’s Ms. Angel Girl who is crying happily because she has her wings. *Shrugs* I don’t know if they were taken away or if she earned them or something. So. Yeah. I like her wings. A lot. And I don’t like that her hair is like all *gestures* like that. Yeah. And her hands. Her hands aren’t finished yet. And I don’t really intend to finish them . . .

I actually really like this one. Because her face is in three quarters view. And I can’t even begin to draw in three quarters view. And I like her dress a lot too. So now onto mine.

This one. I like . . . uhm . . . Theodora’s  (the girl) hair. I colored it pretty nicely. And I think it looks like her hair. Before she cuts it of course. And what I don’t like. Kay. So look at Raul’s (the guy) hand. You see how his sleeve is like . . . not wider than his hand? That bugs me. But other than that, I think it’s okay.

I really like her hair too. I think you’ve always been really good at drawing curvier lines than I. They always look all . . . perfect and stuff. I like that drawing. And I like that scene too. And it makes me laugh how tall he looks compared to her because . . . because I don’t know why. Now let me find another one . . . OH! My favorite of my drawings!
Woo! More Charries that exist! This is Aurelia and August from my Nanowrimo. And I’m assuming you can read the words without help. I also used a reference for this. And the only thing that bothers me is THAT I COLOURED HIM WITH CHRISTMAS COLOURS! YOU SEE THAT RIGHT?! GREEN AND RED?! That really bothers me that I just chose randomly and was like, “WELL THERE YOU GO MAN.” Other than that this is by far my favorite. I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.

I like that one a lot too. I like all of your drawings. So now onto some chibis.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is Kazia as you can probably see. I like her hair. I don’t know why. It’s exactly the way I imagined it. But her head. Galilean moons her head. It’s like . . . I think the bottom curves upward too quickly. And it really bugs me. Oh! And can I just comment on the curvier lines thing for a moment. I find that extremely ironic considering that my drawings are always more geometric than yours.

That’s what I think and I was like, “Well if *insert analogy that I forgot*, then maybe people who draw more geometrically are better at curvy lines than people who draw organically. Because I’m so bad at drawing curvy lines. Like, really really really bad. Anyway. My computer is going to die so one more drawing.
So I also drew Theodora and Raul and this was supposed to be this little comic analogy about love and I was gonna use a bunch of people but I haven’t gotten to that yet. So I really like both of them. Her hair especially. And then it’s just his arm that’s like . . . SOMETHING’S WRONG WITH IT AND I DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. BUT DON’T TELL ME BECAUSE I WANT TO FIGURE IT OUT ON MY OWN. So Marie, you finish up because I’M GOING TO DIE. Well actually not me . . . but my COMPUTER. So bye peoples!

*rolls eyes and smiles* Dramatic much? Anyway.

So I drew this. Duh. And I colored it with crayons. And considering that fact, I think it looks pretty good. So I like how I drew her dress “neckline” thing. Because I always such at that part. I don’t like how their noses go back in I guess. Like, look at my other drawings and you’ll see that after the nose, there’s a line that is pretty much completely straight until the chin. And I didn’t do it like that here. So anyway. Jo’s computer has died. So good mythical morning!
