Seasons . . . Let's Talk About That!

Hello! It’s that time of year again. WHEN THE SEASONS CHANGE!!! Kind of . . . OH! OH! And I’m sorry that I, (JO) Did not post on Thursday, I had many distractions and got busy and then I couldn’t post . . . and I apologize . . . and . . . Marie?

Yeah. I saw that and I was really confused because I thought my computer was being weird. ANYWAY! It’s fall! Or autumn. Well, it’s been autumn for a while now. Since September 21. But anyway. That’s not the point. So. We’re talking about seasons today. I, personally, love autumn. And spring.

Yes. Autumn is such a nice time of year. The colors, the weather, the feeling of everything, the food that’s in season . . . you could have hot chocolate or ice cream! And yeah! AND IT MEANS HALLOWEEN!!! AND THANKSGIVING!!! AND BLACK FRIDAY!!! AND IT ALMOST MEANS CHRISTMAS!!! But yeah. “Let’s talk about that.”

*smiles* Yes. Let’s talk about that. I can’t type today, sorry about that. ANYWAY. Can I just say, that I love hot chocolate and Halloween? They’re both amazing.

Oh I agree. I wonder if there are people out there who give out hot chocolate for Halloween!! I know some really awesome people give out soda! But . . . not hot chocolate yet.

When I was, like, six there was this one lady who dressed up like a witch and had a whole cauldron full of hot chocolate and that’s what she gave out. It was awesome. There was another house who gave out hot dogs and refreshments that year. It was really awesome. No one does that in my neighborhood anymore. It’s sad.

That sounds really awesome!!! And that’s too bad, or else it would’ve been a no brainer where we should go trick or treating. Nobody in my neighborhood does that. Not that I know of anyway, Matthew might know. He’s like, everywhere on Halloween.

I think there is still one house who does that . . . it may be the same house . . . I don’t remember. Let me think . . . well, when I was in fifth or sixth grade there was one house who had apple cider and cookies, and that same year there was a house who gave out king sized candy bars. But I’m not sure about last year.

Wow you have just like, amazing people who live around you. We always get the boring usual stuff. And “fun sized” stuff. BUT ANYWAY. We’re not here to talk about trick or treating. We need to talk about seasons.

Yes. You’re right Jo. So. Autumn is awesome. Now. Winter comes next, so what do you think of winter Jo?

*Quietly and suspiciously laughs* Your birthday is in winter right? Or was it summer?

*frowns* Sometimes I can’t figure you out Jo. Well, 90% of the time I can’t figure you out. Winter. I wish it were in spring though.

Yeah. How could I forget your birthday?! After all, it is five days before mine! Yeah. It’s kind of hard to have a winter birthday because we don’t have many options for a party . . . but anyway! Winter is nice. The snow is pretty. We get hot chocolate. And it means Christmas and New Years and our birthdays!

AND Three Kings Day! That’s my favorite holiday ever! For those of you who don’t know, Three Kings Day is a little like Christmas. It’s celebrated on January 6 or 7 or 5. Somewhere around that time. And you get three presents, one from each king. And it’s celebrated in Puerto Rico in replacement of Christmas. That’s how I know about it. It’s really awesome.

And a bunch of other holidays, like Saint Nicholas Day. And other stuff. So yeah. Winter is nice and fun! SLEDDING!!! But it’s really cold . . . so . . . yeah . . .

Yeah. I hate how cold winter is. So. Insanely. Cold. Especially here in Utah. I hate Utah weather. ANYWAY. Spring is next. I love spring because spring = flowers. And I have a flower obsession.

The only problem I have with spring is probably the bugs and scary bees . . . but yeah. That’s also why I love autumn! No bugs! To hurt me! But anyway. Spring is the best to paint. Like autumn too . . . anyway. Yeah. Spring is pretty and nice and it means Mother’s day and April Fools. And . . .St. Patricks day! AND AND! Isn’t it Mama Green’s birthday too?!

I have no idea . . . Possibly. But yes. Bees are really scary and that’s my only problem with flowers. I need to start my own garden this year . . . ANYWAY. I think all the seasons would be fun to paint. Except summer. It’s like, “Here. I’ll paint this grass . . . and grass . . . and grass . . . and a tree . . . and grass . . . and the sun.”

*Laughs* I’ll just paint . . . the grass and this tree here . . . and . . . the sun . . . But summer is . . . it’s hot. It means lots of ice cream! And Father’s day! And the Fourth of July! And . . . what was it? Was there something else in summer . . .Hm. But it is nice to paint the beach in summer I guess. And um. Summer means a lot, a lot of free time. And swimming. And. CAMP HALF BLOOD TOO! But, that would be all year . . .

Pioneer Day? But that’s only a Utah holiday. But there’s also Percy and Harry’s birthdays. And Camp NaNo. There’s also Camp NaNo in April. But yeah. THAT’S ANOTHER REASON WHY AUTUMN IN AWESOME!!! MARIE CURIE’S BIRTHDAY!!! November 7. Okay. That’s all I had to say.

YEAH! NANOWRIMO!!! OH! Summer also means J. K. Rowling’s birthday doesn’t it? And Annabeth’s is July 12. I believe. So . . . that’s all I have . . .

July 31 I believe. For J. K. Rowling’s birthday. But that’s also all I have. So goodbye! Until tomorrow when I will hopefully have something good to post.

~Marie and Jo
